(Children 3 – 5 years)
A summer camp experience should be fun, exciting, and full of adventure! Our mission is to create a child-centered environment where children feel confident to participate, discover, and grow. Cold Lake Montessori provides a theme-based camp during the months of July and August where children 3 – 5 years can explore a new topic each week.
(Children 6 – 12 years
Just as in life itself, a day is rarely filled with just one activity, and neither are our senior summer camps. At Cold Lake Montessori Summer Camp, a child may begin by taking vital signs of an animal in the morning hours or playing a game of capture the flag in the afternoon, trying different camp experience to learn which aspects of life they enjoy most. While engaging in such a variety of activities throughout each day, they are bound to create great friendships and experiences that will last a life time!
(The senior summer campers could also be a mixed age group of children 4.5 years – 12 years of age in order to fill spaces. If the majority of the children are under 6 years of age, Cold Lake Montessori reserves the right to not accept children 7 years+. If there is a mixed age group and if there are 7 or more children enrolled in the senior summer camp program there will be two summer camp counselors. The normal ratio for children who are 6+ years is 1:15)
The Senior Camp program is only offered if there is a minimum of 6 children registered for both July and August, and if there is space in the daycare to offer a senior camp program. Priority is given first to junior campers first who are currently enrolled or who are enrolling to attend Cold Lake Montessori Daycare & School.

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR SUMMER CAMP:
To register your child for the summer camp program please submit the following items by mail or drop them off at Cold Lake Montessori Daycare & School:
– Summer Camp Registration Form
– $25.00 non-refundable Registration fee.
– Summer Camp Forms (listed below)
-Two post-dated cheques:
-one dated for MAY 31, 2018 for JULY’S summer camp fees
-one dated for JULY 1, 2018 for August’s summer camp fees
Parents will have up until May 31st to change their summer camp forms or to remove their child from the summer camp program. After May 31st, summer camp fees become NON-REFUNDABLE for ANY REASON. If the registration forms are submitted after April 1, 2018 all fees will be due upon submitting the registration forms.

SNACKS, LUNCH & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
***IMPORTANT**** Cold Lake Montessori Daycare & School is an allergy aware daycare center, this means so is our summer camp program. This means we do NOT discriminate against specific types of foods and serve items from EVERY food group, including nuts, milk and eggs. If your child has a nut allergy or any other type of allergy you MUST speak with the administration prior to enrolling your child so we can determine if this will be a safe environment for your child.
Cold Lake Summer camp program for school aged children includes a healthy nutritious lunch and snacks during the summer camp program. The lunch will contain items from at least four food groups and the snacks will contain items from at least two food groups.
Parents whose children have special dietary restrictions due to allergies, medical religious restrictions or lifestyle choices (i.e. lactose, peanut allergies, gluten or vegetarian etc. may be required to provide or substitute foods or drinks for their child at lunch or at snack. Please note there is NO discount on childcare fees if a parent is required to supply their child’s own lunch or snacks or to substitute items for what is on the menu.
IF THE CHILDREN GO ON A FIELD TRIP AWAY FROM THE FACILITY, PARENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A HEALTHY LUNCH AND SNACKS FOR THEIR CHILD (PARENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE ON THE FIELD TRIP FORM IF THEY ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SNACK OR LUNCH OR BOTH.)
